Acceptable Use Policy
EFFECTIVE 3/1/2026
1. INTRODUCTION
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) outlines the rules governing the use of the Parts Portal platform, website, and services (the “Service”). This Policy applies to all users of the Service, including manufacturer subscribers (“Subscribers”) and their respective clients (“Customers”).
2. ITAR AND EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE
Parts Portal is a commercial platform and is not configured to host or transmit data regulated under United States export control laws.
-
Non-ITAR Compliance: Parts Portal is not an ITAR-compliant platform. We do not maintain the specific physical or logical security silos required by the U.S. Department of State for the storage of defense articles.
-
Prohibition: Users are strictly prohibited from uploading, sharing, or transmitting any "Technical Data" as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This includes, but is not limited to, CAD files, blueprints, and specifications for defense-related parts, space technology, or restricted dual-use items.
-
User Responsibility: You represent and warrant that you have screened all files prior to upload. Parts Portal does not proactively monitor or "tag" files for export control markings.
-
Liability: Any user who uploads ITAR/EAR regulated data assumes all legal and financial liability. Parts Portal reserves the right to delete such data immediately and terminate the accounts of violating parties without notice.
3. PROTECTION OF PROPRIETARY LOGIC
The Service contains trade secrets and proprietary algorithms belonging to Parts Portal (including our quoting formulas). You agree not to:
-
Use any "bots," spiders, or scrapers to extract pricing data or formulas from the platform.
-
Attempt to reverse engineer the "standard formula" by inputting repetitive, automated data sets to determine the underlying mathematical logic.
-
Circumvent or attempt to bypass any security or access control measures.
4. SYSTEM INTEGRITY AND SECURITY
You may not use the Service to:
-
Transmit or upload any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, or other malicious code.
-
Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service or the servers and networks connected to the Service.
-
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any other user’s account, part documents, or proprietary rates.
5. PROHIBITED CONTENT
You agree not to upload or share any content that:
-
Is defamatory, obscene, offensive, or promotes discrimination.
-
Infringes on the intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, copyrights) of any third party.
-
Contains "Personally Identifiable Information" (PII) beyond what is required for business contact (e.g., do not upload social security numbers or private medical data).
6. MONITORING AND ENFORCEMENT
Parts Portal reserves the right (but does not assume the obligation) to:
-
Investigate violations of this Policy.
-
Remove, disable access to, or modify any content that violates these terms.
-
Report violations to law enforcement or regulatory agencies if we suspect illegal activity (especially regarding export control violations).
7. REPORTING VIOLATIONS
If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, please notify us immediately at admin@custompartsportal.com.
