This Privacy Policy explains how Parts Portal handles the information of customers who use our platform to request quotes from their manufacturing partners.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- Account Data: Your name, email address, and company name.
- Order Content: Part files and project specifications uploaded for quoting.
- Communication Data: History of messages sent to your Manufacturer via the Platform.
3. HOW YOUR DATA IS SHARED
- With Your Manufacturer: We share your uploaded files and contact info with the specific Manufacturer you are requesting a quote from.
- Security & Hosting: We use third-party providers (like AWS) to host your files. These providers are strictly bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Internal Support: Parts Portal staff may access files only to provide technical support at the request of you or your Manufacturer.
4. PROTECTION OF YOUR INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
We understand the sensitivity of your designs.
- Isolation: Your uploaded files are logically isolated and are never viewable by other customers or other manufacturers on the platform.
- Encryption: All files are encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256 bit encryption.
- No Training: Parts Portal protects your proprietary designs and IP by ensuring data is never integrated into training datasets and only used for context to improve quote accuracy.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain your files as long as your account is active or as required by your Manufacturer’s record-keeping settings. You may request the deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting admin@custompartsportal.com.
